Law School Graduation

One of my favorite parts of my law school graduation was a moment in the speech by the student speaker that referred to something said by one of my favorite professors, Professor Chirelstein.

The student was describing how law professors often end the semester: with a brief discussion of the larger themes of the course and a few words of wisdom. He described a few of his most memorable law professor send-offs, and one of them was Professor Chirelstein's. I still remember it vividly.

On the last day of class, Chirelstein - a strange, scowling, and hilarious professor - looked around the room and said, "Over the course of the semester, I have come to hate most of you...but fortunately for you, I don't remember any of your names." I loved his wry humor.

It feels great to have law school behind me and I was happy to have my family there to celebrate and cheer me on.
