My family hiked into one of my grandpa's favorite places, the Wind River Range of the Rocky Mountains, to spread his ashes. He camped there every year for 40 years, and so it was a dear place to him. I think he wished for his ashes to be spread there not only because it is such a beautiful and special place, but also because he wanted to share it with his family. For my grandpa, loving something meant sharing it with his loved ones.
